The Bodacious Olive | Pensacola, FL

John and I love unique food experiences, and bread might be my favorite food group – especially when it includes dipping sauces or toppings. We found The Bodacious Olive because I found The Bodacious Brew on instagram and wanted to try the coffee. I loved the coffee, but the shop next door with samples of olive oils and balsamic vinegars very quickly pulled us in. Unfortunately, we got there about 15 minutes before closing and didn’t get to try everything that we wanted the first time, but we went back a few days later and went absolutely nuts.

We like olive oils, but we LOVE balsamic vinegar. We put standard dark balsamic in most things that we cook – pasta, veggies {especially brussel sprouts}, chicken, steak, basically everything. But having all of these flavors available is a total cooking game changer! One of the uses that seemed weird to us was using the balsamic vinegar to flavor your water. We tried Honey Ginger in soda water this weekend, and oh my goodness, it’s incredible!

So you take your little fresh bread samples and try all of the options that you want, and then you pick your favorites to bring home. Olive oils come in 3 bottle sizes – Small {200ml}, Medium {375ml}, or Large {750ml}, and balsamic vinegars come in 4 sizes – Mini {50ml}, Small {200ml}, Medium {375ml}, or Large {750ml}.

We went home with 2 small bottles of Honey Ginger White Balsamic Vinegar, 1 small bottle of Raspberry Dark Balsamic Vinegar, and a mini bottle of Serrano Honey White Balsamic Vinegar. And no, it wasn’t all for us. My dad is an avid cheese boarder and fellow weird food eater, so 2 of the small bottles were for him for Father’s Day.

In addition to balsamic vinegars and olive oils, they also offer fresh breads, fresh pastas, cheeses, wine, and unique kitchen gadgets. Make sure that you check out The Bodacious Shops the next time you’re in Downtown Pensacola!
