The Tin Cow | Pensacola, FL

We spent our Friday afternoon exploring our new city, and we found this gem of a burger bar downtown. I’m a huge a fan of a good burger, but I like kind of different toppings on my burger. I always feel kind of like a jerk ordering off menu with lots of extras and it drives John nuts, but I like what I like. So here’s where I really fell in love: The Tin Cow lets you design your own burger! No really. You pick EVERYTHING. If you don’t believe me, check out this menu.

When you’re seated, you’re given your menu and a pencil to check off all of your little boxes. You order by just giving your menu back to your server, so it’s super easy {and also highly unlikely that your order is going to be wrong}. If you don’t want to design your own, there are also options that are already put together on the back of the menu. They also have a pretty  extensive drink menu with milkshakes, cocktails, and craft beers {below}.

Now we get to the real fun: THE FOOD. We both went with the design your own option.

My Burger {left}: half pound angus on a brioche bun, crumbled bleu cheese, caramelized onions, arugula, potato chips, and roasted garlic aioli. I went with homestyle chips + truffle/parm, and the truffle/parm is worth every penny of the $2 charge. Holy {tin} cow!

John’s Burger {right}: American Kobe on a kaiser bun, feta, arugula, jalapenos, sun dried tomatoes, fried egg {runny}, steak sauce, and tzatziki sauce. His side was hand cut fries with no extras.

The burgers are phenomenal, but so are the milkshakes. We kept with our usual flavors: coffee {left} for John and cookies and cream {right} for me. These were both N/A Milkshakes, but there are Spiked Milkshakes available as well if that’s your thing. All of the milkshake options are listed in the drink menu above, and there are lots of great ones!

Our server, Jimmy, was one of the best servers we’ve ever had anywhere! He was super attentive, but more than that, he was just a genuinely nice guy. We’d go back just to have him again! Overall, we had a great experience at The Tin Cow, and we can’t wait to go back. This is going to be one of our go to places for bringing out of town friends, and we’re probably going to be regulars here. Seriously, it’s that good.
