Walt Disney World Character Dining 101

One of my most asked questions is which character dining experience we love the most. Most of my clients are trying to make the most of a dining plan, so I put together this list to help them choose who they want to see and how to use their credits to their highest benefit.

First things first, eating at Cinderella’s Royal Table is an experience, and you are paying for an EXPERIENCE! You are eating in Cinderella Castle, so obviously, it comes with a higher price tag. It’s an incredible feeling knowing that you’re eating in the castle with Cinderella herself. While I do love the atmosphere and the characters, for those on the Disney Dining Plan {one quick service, one table service, and two snacks}, it may not be worth using two table service credits on when you could use those two credits on TWO character dinners instead of one. For those wanting to use one table service credit per day, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall is a VERY popular replacement for Cinderella’s Royal Table.

Secondly, there are many ways to meet characters. You DO NOT have to do character dining. However, it is easier for the characters to come to your table while you eat versus you waiting in line to see them. This is especially helpful if you have smaller ones who are dying to meet characters or you’re with our friend Edward who is hysterical and loves interacting with characters {pictured above with us}. It’s one of those two birds, one stone kind of situations.
